Nothing much is going on in our happy happy lives....Brian worked overtime all weekend which kinda stunk becuse I had the whole weekend off, ahh well. We spent the week hanging close to home doing a whole lot of nothing. We enjoy staying home and spending time with the pups. We made a few pizzas and enjoyed some good movies...like I said nothing much.
Did I mention, I have a good job and it provides lots of overtime? Well I work a four on, two off schedule, so it rotates every week...this week I have Wednesday and Thursday off. I woke up in a panic at 8:30 pm tonight because it dawned on me I had overtime in the morning....so I'm working 12 hours tonight. I realize that I have overtime again on Friday night, which isn't so bad...I have Saturday and Sunday off on swaps. I love overtime but really its a frame of mind thing....if not mentally prepared, its the longest extra shift ever. Ok I know I am very lucky in this economy to even have a job, and I love my job and I really love the overtime so that is not my complaint, my complaint was forgetting I had the overtime and not planning ahead.
Yes, my dear readers, you are reading this right. I have a brand newiPadto give away. If you remember, I was able to go to theBlogaliciousConference this year thanks to my sponsor,Que Rica Vida! Besides the trip to Miami and the conference, I also received aniPadso I could check out the new Que Rica VidaiPadapp. Well, because I work, I missed the Fed Ex delivery of theiPadand had to get it when I was in Miami. Now our household already as aniPad. It belongs to my hubby and he loves it. I rarely use it unless I am looking for recipes on the Que Rica Vida app. I hate to admit this but I am a PC and he is a Mac. So I thought, do I really need anotheriPad? And the answer was no. Then I thought, why not give it away on my blog, right? So I am giving it away because that's how I roll peeps, that's how I roll. Now I have to disclose that the winner will receive it without the shrink wrap. The reason being is because I received in Miami, I had to bring it back home to North Carolina. We had to take the shrink wrap off at the airport so they could really see there was aniPadand not some bomb or something. But besides the shrink wrap being gone, it is brand new, never used! I even made a short video so you could see for yourself.
Where does the time seem to go? We are always looking for more time. I love that I have a great job with excellent benefits and overtime, lots and lots of overtime...I'm talking 20+ hours a week if interested. What kills me is sometimes I feel I have not spent anytime at home with my family. I tend to see Brian only minutes a day on some days, and I hate that. My pups I feel don't get enough mommy time either. I need more time, more hours in the day and more time to be at home and just be a puppy mommy.
Titan...aka... The Terrorist Pitt mix, FURever home... 7/19/2009
Sandy...aka... Beans or Snowflake...purebred GoldenDoodle FURever home... 10/31/2009
Halloween is Sandy's 1 yr adoption day!!!! We love having her and she loves playing and rough housing with Titan. She loves Boo, Boo however does NOT feel the same love. Remember the prison post below...well that is our house, one door opens and another must remain locked until all clear is announced...no, not kidding!
Hi, this is my little blog...I will do my best to share "our life with pups" It won't always be pretty, happy or motivating but it will be REAL! We are a Furever family...mom, dad, Boo, Sandy and Titan. We are watched over by our FURangels Lily, Baron and Riley. I am as sarcastic as they come and I have a husband to match.....its a good thing. We saw often say "we aren't perfect but we are perfect for each other." Brian and I met in prison...yes, you read that correctly...we were both working at the prison as Correction Officers and well the rest is history. Brian is a hard working Correction Officer or should I say Sergeant...he made grade...woohoo and with that comes a bigger paycheck. He works 3-11pm. In May 2008 Brian decided he did not like his old hips so he traded them in for a new set...my 36 yr old hubby was going bionic, new metal state of the art hips. He is fully recovered and in time I will get him back to running 8 miles a day. He is the love of my life and very best friend...sometimes the bane of my existence, I swear he does stuff just to piss me off. My only gripe with him...he hates overtime! I on the other hand get overtime up the wazoo. I would enjoy 2 whole days off back to back...never going to happen. I work full time and often with a boat load of overtime thrown in for good measure. I work midnights and love my hours (10-6am) We are a law enforcement family. We chose to work opposite shifts so that we crate the puppy no more than a few hours, if at all.
